How do ratings and reviews work?
Any member can rate a place with 1 to 5 stars and a short comment. We check every comment before it's public, show the average from 5 ratings, and you can edit or delete your review any time.
Rate a place
- Open the place and tap Rate, or tap Write a review on its ratings page.
- Pick 1 to 5 stars. Then tap what fits, like Friendly staff or Slow service.
- Write at least 20 characters about your visit and tap Post review.
You can rate each place once. To change your mind later, tap Edit your review. To remove it, open it and tap Delete review.
What happens next
- Your review shows at the top of the ratings page as Your review, right away.
- We check every comment automatically. This takes about a minute. Until then it says In review, then Published.
- If you edit a published review, others keep seeing your earlier version until the new one is checked. Edited reviews show Edited.
- If our check flags the text, your review says Not published. Edit it to try again.
When we ask you
After you redeem a deal at a place, or after an event you said you'd go to, we ask once how it was: the next time you open Vennu. If you don't open the app, you get one reminder the next day at noon, as a notification or, if notifications are off for Vennu, as an email. Turn these off under Settings → Notifications → Reminders. Tap Not now to skip, or Don't ask about this place.
For events, we first ask Did you go to …?. Event ratings help our team and the organizer. They're public only for events that repeat, like a weekly run club.
Good to know
- Everyone can rate a place, with or without a deal. Every rating counts the same in the average.
- The average shows from 5 ratings, the same rule for high and low averages.
- We never pay or reward you for a rating, and places can't delete reviews.
- Members see your first name with your review, never your photo. On our website, only your initial shows.
- See a review that breaks the rules? Tap ⋯ next to it → Report review.
