Does Vennu do background checks?
No. Vennu does not run criminal background checks or ID checks on members. Photo verification only confirms that a person's photos match a selfie they took.

What we do instead
- Phone number: members confirm a phone number before they can get verified.
- Photo checks: every photo is checked automatically for nudity and sexual content before others see it.
- Photo verification: a person compares a posed selfie with the profile photos. The badge means the photos match — not that we checked someone's identity or history.
- Reports: a person reviews reports, and we act on them.
