What's the safest way to meet someone at an event?
Meet in a public place, get there and home on your own, tell a friend where you're going, and keep your drink with you. If you feel unsafe, leave — and in an emergency, call 911.
Before you go
- Chat in Vennu first. Be careful if someone asks for money or wants to move to another app right away.
- Tell a friend where you're going and who you're meeting.
- Plan your own way there and back.
At the event or place
- Stay in public, busy areas.
- Keep your drink with you. If it's been out of sight, get a new one.
- Trust your gut. It's always OK to leave.
