Delete your account

You can delete your vennu account at any time — directly in the app or, if you no longer have access to the app, by email. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and its associated data. The process is final and cannot be undone.
1. Delete your account in the app
- Open vennu and sign in.
- Tap your Profile at the bottom, then tap "Settings".
- Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete account" (shown in red).
- Confirm with "Yes, delete account".
Your account and data are then permanently deleted and you are signed out automatically.
2. Request deletion without the app (by email)
If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, you can request deletion by email:
- Email support@vennuapp.com with the subject "Delete account".
- Include the phone number your account is registered with so we can identify it.
- For your protection we verify your identity before deleting, so that no one can delete someone else's account.
We process your request and complete the deletion within 30 days.
3. What gets deleted
- Profile and profile content: name/nickname, date of birth, bio, interests, preferences and your profile photos.
- Account and login data: phone number/login, sessions and settings. Signing in with this account is no longer possible afterwards.
- Matches, likes and swipes.
- Your one-to-one chats and messages along with the related conversations.
- Group memberships and join requests. If you were a group admin, the role is handed over to another member; if you were the only member, the group is deleted.
- Notifications, reports/blocks and your activity logs.
- Your Pro / subscription status in our database.
4. What remains for legal or technical reasons
Some data cannot be deleted immediately or in full:
- Group chat messages:messages you already sent in group chats are anonymised (your name is removed and the content is replaced with "[deleted]") so the conversation stays readable for the remaining members.
- Purchase and billing records for subscriptions may be subject to statutory retention. Active subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google — cancel them separately in the App Store / Google Play if needed, as deleting your vennu account does not cancel an active subscription.
- Moderation and safety records for rule violations are kept for up to 36 months (legitimate interest in protecting the community).
- Residual data in encrypted backups is overwritten as part of our regular backup cycles.
Final technical deletion of your personal data is completed within 30 days. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
