Trips, custom location and your location privacy.

What is a trip?A trip lets you meet people in a city before you get there. Add where and when you're going, and you'll show up to people there — with a badge that says you're visiting. Everyone can add up to 3 trips for free.
What is Custom location?With PRO or VIP you can set your location to another city — for your deck and for Explore. Your location then shows a plane instead of a pin.
Can other people see my exact location?No. We store your location only roughly — on a grid of about 1 km (0.6 miles) — and others see only an approximate distance. Nobody sees your address or where you are on a map.
Does Vennu keep a history of where I've been?No. We keep one rough location for you and replace it each time it updates. Trips are deleted 6 months after they end.
Why is my location wrong?Vennu updates your location when you open the app. Check that location access is on for Vennu, turn on precise location in your phone settings, and reopen the app. If you set a custom location, switch back with Update location.
Why are distances in miles or kilometers?Vennu follows your phone's region, not the app language. In the US and the UK you see miles; in most other places, kilometers.
How can I stay safe when I travel?Research local laws and customs before you go, meet in public places, and keep a friend informed. Laws about dating, LGBTQ+ people and alcohol differ from place to place.
