Around the crab sits a full American-style menu. Stone crab, fish, and the bar that has always sat beside the tables remain the point of the meal.
Joe Weiss opened a lunch counter here in 1913, before Miami Beach was a city. Service is straightforward: a drink at the bar, then the meal, without dressing the history up. It remains a seafood house first.
