Toni's Sushi Bar holds a traditional Japanese sushi-bar table in South Beach.
The menu is nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, plus a short list of grilled and fried plates. Typical orders include Hamachi Jalapeno, Salmon Carpaccio, Toni's-style omakase of nigiri or sashimi, shrimp tempura, Tuna Tataki, and the Naruto Roll.
The Takarada family owns and operates the restaurant, which opened in 1987. It remains a working sushi bar: the counter first, not a long fusion menu, and still a family sushi bar.
