A free commuter boat between Miami Beach and Downtown Miami is the Miami Beach Water Taxi, a crossing of the bay.
Boats run between Maurice Gibb Memorial Park in Sunset Harbour and Venetian Marina and Yacht Club (Sea Isle Marina) on the Miami side. Travel time is about 20 minutes. Bikes come aboard when space allows. Service animals are allowed.
The City of Miami Beach runs the service. The crossing is practical: get across, then walk on.
