Matcha Maven sources matcha as a tea room for single-origin, first-harvest leaf.
The matcha comes from one small tea farm in Uji, Kyoto. It is made from the first harvest in spring, also known as the first flush. The shop keeps to one place, one farm, and one harvest, and treats that narrow line as the point of the cup.
That line is matcha in its purest form, with tradition still at the forefront.
