Along Ocean Drive in South Beach, Lummus Park holds a public beach, paved paths, a playground, and outdoor fitness for ordinary park use.
Visitors use the beach, walk or bike the paved paths, play on the playground, and use the outdoor fitness areas at 6th Street and Muscle Beach at 9th Street. The city's volleyball directory lists 19 public courts here, clustered toward 7th Street.
